    Lennaert van Anken appointed Head of Buy-Out & Corporate Development at Zwitserleven

    Lennaert van Anken has been appointed Head of Buy-Out & Corporate Development at Zwitserleven. The appointment will take effect on 1 January 2021. Lennaert will be responsible for formulating and implementing Zwitserleven’s pension buy-out strategy.

    Lennaert van Anken will be moving from Willis Towers Watson where he has headed the pension buy-out team for the last seven years. Together with that team he oversaw dozens of pension buy-outs, from scenario planning and risk analyses to communications, project management and actual implementation. Angelo Sacca, Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer at Athora Netherlands, is pleased with the appointment: “Lennaert has a lot of experience, network and knowledge of the Dutch pension sector. His unparallel track record of successful transaction execution combined with deep understanding of  pension funds key requirements will be a valuable asset to our pension buy-out team.     Leading Pension Provider

    Lennaert's appointment comes following the new strategy announced by the pension insurer’s in September this year. Zwitserleven aims to be the leading pension provider in the Netherlands by offering its customers the best pension solutions with maximum returns in a sustainable way combined with outstanding service. Zwitserleven's growth area will be the solutions in accumulation, retirement and the buyout space.

    Lennaert van Anken (1974) has been senior consultant retirement at Willis Towers Watson, where he started in 2008. He started his career as benefits consultant at Hewitt Associates in 2000. From 2005 to 2008 he was account manager at Kunst & Cultuur Pensioen responsible for two formal pension funds: Pensioenfonds voor Kunst en Cultuur and Pensioenfonds AENA. There he enrolled the standardisation of the first and helped setting-up the second.

    Lennaert obtained a Master of Economics degree at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1999 and the title Actuaris AG (Actuary of the Dutch Actuarial Association) in 2011.
